Nwifuru swears in 1,720 aides, traditional rulers in Ebonyi
Gov. Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi has sworn in 1, 710 newly appointed Executive Assistants and 10 Special Advisers.
Nwifuru performed the ceremony in Abakaliki on Thursday as part of events marking the 30 anniversary of Ebonyi and Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The governor administered an oath of allegiance to the newly appointed officials as he legally authorised them assume their official duties and swore to uphold the constitution.
Also sworn in were 10 former council chairmen designated as special advisers.
During the ceremony he also swore in and presented staff of office to three new traditional leaders.
The traditional rulers were from Afikpo, Edda, and Ishielu Local Government Areas of the state.
