Teachers plant seeds of better tomorrow – Soludo

Wife of the Anambra Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, says teachers are dedicated nation builders whose influence shapes destinies and impacts generations.

Soludo said this on Monday in a message commemorating the 2026 Teachers’ Day in Awka.

According to her, behind every great mind is a teacher who believed in, inspired and nurtured it.

“Our teachers are patient hands that shape destinies, voices that awaken dreams, and unsung heroes whose impact lives on for generations.

“The dedication of teachers goes beyond the classroom, as every lesson they teach represents a seed planted for a better tomorrow.

“Thank you for building the future, one child at a time; thank you for moulding humanity,” she said.

It was reported that World Teachers’ Day is celebrated every Oct. 5 by the United Nations.

It aims to recognise teachers’ vital role, highlight the challenges the profession continues to face and call on society and policymakers to protect, promote and elevate its status.
