2027: Mushin LG chairman urges residents to collect PVCs
The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Mr Tunbosun Aruwe, has urged residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate in the 2027 general elections.
Aruwe made the call on Wednesday when he received members of Eko 57 Grassroot Mobilisation for Asiwaju/Hamzat 2027 at the council secretariat in Mushin.
It was reported that the delegation was led by the group’s convener, Mr Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami.
Other members included Mr Ismaila Sholeye, Mushin Coordinator, and Mr Ibrahim Raheem, Coordinator for Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Aruwe urged residents to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card collection exercise organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He said collecting PVCs was essential for eligible voters to participate in the electoral process.
The chairman also urged party members and supporters to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.
He further urged them to mobilise eligible voters and encourage massive turnout on election day to support All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.
Aruwe also enjoined voters to remain at their polling units until voting and counting were completed to ensure their choices were reflected in the final results.
He expressed confidence in the capacity and competence of APC candidates, urging party members to work collectively towards securing victory at all levels.
The chairman highlighted the “Mushin 5 Direct” and “Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye 5 Direct” mobilisation slogans, urging residents and party faithful to support the candidates promoted under the campaign.
He listed the candidates to include President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Idiat Adebule, Mr Yemi Alli, Toyin Fayinka, Nureni Akinsanya and Yinka Esho-Kazeem.
Earlier, Kehinde thanked the chairman for his consistent support for grassroots political activities.
He assured that members of the group would intensify mobilisation across communities to secure substantial votes for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
