LinkedIn lists 9mobile among top 25 best workplaces in Nigeria

9mobile, a telecommunications company has been ranked among the top 25 best workplaces in Nigeria.

9mobile in a statement, said they were ranked as one of the workplaces where employees could grow their careers in 2023 LinkedIn Top Companies Ranking.

According to LinkedIn, 9mobile, with an impressive track record in talent development and management, made the list by performing excellently on the eight assessment pillars of career progression.

It said that the telco was ranked on the ability to advance skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity, educational background and employee presence in the country.

It noted that Linkedin attributed the ranking to skills growth, which looked at how employees across the company gained skills while employed at the company.

“For company stability, LinkedIn tracks attrition over the past year and the percentage of employees that stay at the company for at least three years.

“External opportunity looks at recruiter outreach across employees at the company, signaling demand for workers from these companies.

“LinkedIn also looks at company affinity, which seeks to measure how supportive a company’s culture is and looks at connection among employees.

“Another criteria for ranking is gender diversity measures, which assesses gender parity within a company and its subsidiaries, “it said.

According to the statement, they also look at educational background which examines the variety of educational attainment among employees, from no degree to Ph.D. levels, reflecting a commitment to recruiting a wide range of professionals.

Commenting on the ranking, the Chief Human Resource Officer for 9mobile, Mr Ibrahim Umar, expressed great pleasure, noting that it affirmed the telco’s firm commitment to talent development, staff welfare, and a pleasant work environment.
