Court sacks Kashamu, Adesegun, 5 Ogun lawmakers

The Tribunal sitting in Ogun state on Friday nullified the election of Senator Buruji Kashamu, representing Ogun East Senatorial district, as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Tribunal also nullified the election of a federal lawmaker, representing Ijebu East/Ijebu North/Ogun waterside, Adekoya Adesegun.

Five members of the Ogun state Assembly were also sacked by the tribunal over non-compliance to electoral law.

Consequently, the tribunal, headed by Justice Ebiowei Tobi, has directed that a new round of elections take place in 110 polling units.
