Adeneye revealed this through his Press Officer, Mr. Temitayo Taylor, during a familiarization tour to State owned media houses and other agencies under the Ministry, said the State could not afford to be left behind in the digitization world, adding that all hands must be on deck towards achieving the goal.

The Commissioner who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Ibikunle Onasanya and top Management staff said since the Ministry was saddled with the responsibility of projecting and propagating programmes and policies of Government, the two media houses must be repositioned to consolidate on the “Rebuilding Mission” of Governor Ibikunle Amosun administration.

“Am assuring you that by next year, we would go digital because the world has gone beyond analogue, though it might not be an easy task but we would do all we can do to make it realistic. We need to upgrade our facilities because the image of the message is as important as the message” he said.

While inspecting the facilities at OGTV and OGBC, the Commissioner urged Management of the two media houses to strategize on how best to improve on their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), pointing out that Government could not shoulder the responsibility alone.

In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Ibikunle Onasanya charged Management and Staff of the visited agencies to be proactive, steady and dedicated to duty, towards the development of the State and the Country at large.

Responding, General Manager OGBC, Engr. Tunde Awolana and Acting General Manager OGTV, Mr. Dele Bolujoko commended the Commissioner for the visit and promised a good working relationship with the Ministry in promoting ethics of the profession, Government activities and programmes.

Other agencies visited include, Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency (OGSAA) and Ogun State Printing Corporation.
