Gloomy future for Nigerian MultiChoice subscribers, as firm slashed subscriptions in Kenya, Ghana, 2 other countries

Leading video entertainment company, MultiChoice Nigeria, has won the Award for Excellence in Pay TV Services at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) awards.

Receiving the award, Hasiya Abdu, representative of the managing director, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe thanked the chamber for the recognition.

She said MultiChoice Nigeria remains committed to providing excellent services to its subscribers. “We remain committed in providing quality pay-TV service to our subscribers and will continue to bring innovative technology to the business of pay-TV in Nigeria” she remarked.

She also reinforced MultiChoice’s resolve to continue to partner with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dr. Nike Akande, president of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in her opening remarks, said the awards recognize corporate organisations and institutions that have contributed to the development of the country’s economy. She noted that the chamber promotes healthy competition as competition promotes value creation.

Having launched in 1888, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the first and the largest chamber of commerce in Nigeria with membership strength of over 1, 500 institutions spread across all sectors and sub-sectors of the economy.
