The Senate has urged the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the country due to the current security challenges.

The Senate’s resolution was sequel to a Point of Order raised by Sen. Sani Musa (APC-Niger) during Wednesday’s plenary.

It was reported that the motion was on the abduction of students and teachers of Government Science College (GSC), Kagara in Niger state in the early hours of Wednesday.
