Zulum’s wife, envoy, 102 year-old, others receive African Peace Ambassador Awards
The wife of the Governor of Borno, Dr Falmata Zulum, the Ambassador of the state of Palestine to Nigeria, Ahmed Elkachachi, 102-year old Pan Africanist, Mrs Josephine Ezeanyache and others on Sunday night received the 2021 African Peace Ambassador Awards, our correspondent reports.
Our correspondent reports that the African Peace Ambassador Awards 2021, is organised by Distinguished Peace Medal Agency.
Others who received the award are Farouk Garo, Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Youths Empowerment, Mr Jide Odusolu, the Chief Executive Officer of Oct05 Homes and Adaku Oseiza.
Others are Suleiman Adejo, Olayeta Abdulazzeez, Musa Ibro, Temisa Louis, Dominic Ikechukwu, Ella Joe, Alhaji Ahmed Ramalan, Barry Johnson and many others.
Receiving the award, Zulum who is the founder of Multi Aid and Charity Initiative, said she was delighted to be awarded with the African Peace Ambassador Award.
“Let me use this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the organisers of this Award.”
“Award and recognition like this is another way of celebrating the works we do. I hereby dedicate this award to all vulnerable women and children of Borno in particular and Africa in general,” Zulum said.
It was reported that Zulum was represented by Dr Amina Mohammed Dikwa, the President and Founder of Amina Dikwa Foundation.
Similarly, Garo, after observing a one-minutesilence for travellers who died in an accident in Sokoto State, affirmed that peace would definitely come to Nigeria.
He appreciated Ganduje, the convener of the award, his parents and wife for winning the award, stressing that without peace there would not be empowerment.
Speaking, Elkachachi, who mounted the stage with his wife and three children to receive his award assure the organisers/convener and Nigeria that his hands were always open for promotion of peace.
