The Oyo State chapter of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria has cleared the air on the false claims and character defamation against its national leaders and urged those it described as ”desperate persons” camouflaging as comrades to seek abode elsewhere; saying ASCSN is a ”distinct labour organization that do not  harbour questionable characters like Andrew Emelieze and his frustrated allies. It added that ”for the record, Andrew Emelieze and his co travelers had since last year been expelled from the Union”.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Oyo State chapter Chairman of the union, Comrade Babatunde Balogun. According to him, the claims that the sum of N10 billion naira has been embezzled by some officials of the national leadership of the union is not only untrue but highly laughable.

”The question is, how many civil servants are paying dues to ascsn and how much is our annual income that an individual will cart away with such an amount ? Something must be surely wrong somewhere for any right thinking person to make such a bogus claim”. the statement added.

”All this can be known via the centralized Federal Government payment modes (IPPIS). Fundamentally speaking, when you look at the energies these persons are investing to pull-down ascsn, you would agree with me that they have ulterior motives”.

Balogun posited that it is important to let ”the world know what he has been promised for going to the ridiculous extent of making frivolous claims. From my personal prognosis, I discovered that Andrew is fighting dirty because he intends to forcefully use the platform as a shield  for his sponsor from criminal prosecution of alleged Child trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable with NAPTIP and the incumbent national leadership are working tirelessly to jealously protect the integrity and image of ASCSN”.

The child trafficking matter is still in court and Andrew and his cohorts should wait for the outcome rather than descending to the gutter level .The Nigeria Police and other security agencies are advised to be wary of these antics and stay off labour related matters.

”And lastly, I want to assure our genuine members that we will do all within our capacity to ensure that these scavengers do not hijack the platform as they tried to do in Lagos some few days ago and that the image, funds and properties of the union will tirelessly be protected and used to propagate and advance the cause of senior civil servants in Nigeria”. the statement concluded.
