Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, has said that there is no alternative to victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.

He said this on Thursday in Abuja when Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, wife of Sen. Bola Tinubu, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate visited him and other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

It was reported that Tinubu’s wife was accompanied on the visit by Nana Shettima, wife of Sen. Kashim Shettima, the party’s Vice-Presidential candidate and other women delegates

“I want to use the privilege of your coming to emphasis that we just have to work for victory, there is no option whatsoever and can’t be ashamed of saying so.

“We are not working to end up in the tribunal but working to end up in the Villa.

“Those who have ears should hear. We are ready to work with you and whatever you feel the NWC can do, don’t hesitate to come along. We are ready.

“May God protect our candidates with more wisdom and reach, the expectation is high, but we know what you can do,” Adamu said.

He said it was a great pleasure to know that Tinubu’s wife was standing by the party’s presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates for the forthcoming election.

He expressed happiness that though she was working in silence because the nitty-gritty of the women campaign council was not known, she was doing well.

“But I want to say that silence has noise, from the silence, we were able to know that you have achieved great height already under your leadership,” Adamu said.

He thanked Tinubu’s wife for making time out for the visit and appreciated her for the drive, conscientiousness and commitment to the success of the forthcoming campaigns.

The APC national chairman gave the assurance that the party’s leadership would give the campaigns the necessary support.

“We have promise to stand shoulder to shoulder with both the presidential candidate and his running mate.

“So, to that extent, you can be rest assured that we will be together in this race, whatever you need us to do, we will willingly do it to ensure success of this effort.

“Your own journey will be a bit more difficult because of customary mannerisms, some of the best brains are among you, women. Some of the hardest workers are among you women,

“But because of whom we are, we were not able to see the best of women yet,” he said.

He said though President Muhammadu Buhari would not be on the ticket, his spirit, driving leadership and progressiveness in all he does, would continue to add value to what the party’s leadership was doing to win the elections.

He maintained that Buhari had done so much under trying situations.

“We want your voice to be heard now more than ever before, we trust you and with your loud voice in the Senate, we know what you can do.

“We want you not only to replicate but to improve on the testimony we are giving as your abilities.

“I want to just emphasis one thing to you, there is no option to victory. We must leave no space whatsoever.

“This government must be returned, by the grace of God. I believe in God and for God to appreciate me and add value to what we are doing,” Adamu stressed.

Speaking earlier, Tinubu’s wife, who represents Lagos Central in the Senate, said the visit was to assure the APC national chairman that Nigerian women were ready for massive mobilisation ahead the general elections.

“We are here to tell you that Nigeria women are ready. I want to reassure the national chairman that we are all ready to work.

“Whenever you need us, we are just a call away, and then we are ready to work and ensure victory for our party come 2023.We are all ready to mobilise and very soon we will come out with our programmes.

“The Tinubu-Shettima presidential Women Council, that is what we are called,” she said.

She commended the APC national chairman for his leadership style and for ensuring sanity in the party.
