2023: I’ll take more youths, women out of streets, poverty – Lawmaker

Nasarawa State Assemblyman Aga Muluku has promised to empower more youths and women of his constituency, if elected for another term in 2023.

Muluku, member representing Nasarawa Eggon East constituency at the state legislature, made the pledge on Sunday in Nasarawa Eggon at the maiden Muluku Aga Sociopolitical Symposium 2023.

The event was themed: “Changing the Political Narrative”, organised in his honour by beneficiaries of his good representation.

Muluku appreciated the organisers for the honour, saying that the honour will spur him to do more towards changing the lives of his constituents positively.

“I have done my best and still doing my best in the area of education, health, electricity, solar lights, water supply, employment, empowerment, assistance to the less privileged ones and students, among others.

“I will do more, if given another mandate come 2023,” he assured.

The lawmaker also pledged to provide quality representation at the state legislature, if re-elected.

Alhaji Adamu Muazu, the Nasarawa South SDP Senatorial candidate; Sen. Godiya Akwashiki represented by his SA, Mr Ajegena Likita; Mr Safiyanu Aliyu, the SDP Candidate for Akwanga/Nassarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency; and Alhaji Ahmed Wadada, Nasarawa West SDP Senatorial Candidate, represented by Mr Bello Ramalan.

They all lauded the leadership qualities of Muluku and urged the people of the constituency to elect him for another term to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

On their parts, Alhaji Mohammed Gama and Alhaji Abdul’aziz Mohammed, among other stakeholders, drummed support for Muluku and other SDP candidates in the 2023 general elections.

Earlier, Mr Okkoh Abdulgafaru, the Chairman of the beneficiaries, said the event was to educate, enlighten and give back to the society what the lawmaker has done to them positively.

He also said the event was organised to support the less privileged in various communities of Nassarawa Eggon East constituency.

According to him, Muluku has done well and still doing well towards bettering the lives of the people of the area.

“We organised this symposium to also give back to our society in celebration of our leader and mentor, Hon. Muluku.

“So that the general public will benefit from the mentorship and generosity of Hon. Muluku to expand his kind gestures.

“Through continuous provision of dividends of democracy and good governance to our people.

“The symposium is organised to educate and enlighten our people as well support the less privileged in our communities,” he said.

Okkoh said that in Nassarawa Eggon there is no leader who has been as instrumental in raising as many youths as Muluku.

“Today, Hon. Muluku has provided jobs to a large population of young brilliant and promising graduates in various sectors of life.

“This explains why serving youthful Education Secretary, several young lecturers, serving and former SAs to the Government of Nasarawa State, former councillors and serving councillors, among others, are here today to celebrate Hon. Muluku.

“We, the beneficiaries of Hon. Muluku, want to assure him of our loyalty and supoort to succeed at all times,” he said.

It was reported that keynote papers were presented by a legal practitioner and aide to the lawmaker, Mr Abimiku Adda and Dr Charles Agum of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia).

Both speakers euligised the legislator and urged the people of the constituency to support good leaders at all times.
