Paul Omotoso, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, is dead.

Sources said Omotoso died in the early hours of Wednesday following a brief illness.

A source, who said that Omotoso was in the office on Tuesday, said he left in the evening.

The source said that he complained he was feeling feverish in the evening.

A top official of Ekiti State Government, who confirmed the incident, said, “Yes, the APC State chairman is dead. We will pay a visit to his family this morning.”

It would be recalled that Omotoso was kidnapped last year but regained freedom few days later.

NEWSVERGE recalled that the late Omotoso, July 2023 was kidnapped by suspected gunmen while driving home in Imesi-Ekiti, in Gbonyin Local Council Area of Ekiti but later regained freedom after the joint effort of the police and other sister security agencies in the state.
