Be disciplined, NYSC Coordinator urges corps members in Osun

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator in Osun, Mr Obim Agbor, has urged corps members posted to the state to be disciplined and eager to learn during their one year mandatory service.
Agbor gave the advice on the sideline of a one-day programme organised for corps members in Batch C Stream ll, at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede, Osun.
He said that the it was important for the corps members to be actively involved in all the programmes put in place for them.
Agbor said that the programmes were designed to equip them with valuable life skills and also prepare them for challenges and opportunities ahead.
The NYSC coordinator commended the Corps members for their comportment since their arrival at the orientation camp.
Earlier, Mr Abdulrazak Salawu, a former NYSC Director of Community Development Service and Special Project, said that the orientation programme was not just a routine exercise but a life-changing experience.
Salawu said that the programme was designed to reform, reshape, and prepare them for life ahead.
According to him, corps members must embrace the journey ahead as the lessons learned during the service year would play a critical role in shaping their personal and professional development.
He said that discipline was one of the core objectives of the scheme and a key ingredient for success.
Salawu, also advised the corps members to embrace digital skills, adding that ICT has become a crucial tool for personal and professional growth.
