Heirs Energies CEO outlines Africa’s energy future

The Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Energies, Mr Osa Igiehon, says Africa’s energy future lies in unlocking frontier basins and sustainably managing mature brownfield assets.

In a statement on Tuesday, Igiehon said he would share insights on responsibly unlocking Africa’s full energy potential at the 2025 U.S.-Africa Energy Forum.

The forum is scheduled for Aug. 7 in Houston, Texas.

He said the event will focus on driving investments across hydrocarbons, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors.

Igiehon noted that Heirs Energies’ participation reflects its commitment to partnerships that ensure energy security while supporting global sustainability goals

Igiehon said the company’s strategy is guided by Africapitalism—private sector-led development for both economic and social progress.

“At the forum, we’ll demonstrate how this philosophy drives asset management, gas monetisation, and partnerships for local and global growth,” he said.

The company is also expanding gas infrastructure and currently supplies three power plants in Eastern Nigeria.

“Every molecule must count — not only for output, but for powering homes, fuelling industries, and setting standards for indigenous firms,” Igiehon stated.

Igiehon said he will present Heirs Energies’ vision for unlocking Africa’s energy potential in a sustainable and responsible manner.
