Buhari salutes Sen. Basheer Mohammed @54

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Sen. Basheer Mohammed, Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, on his 54th birthday.

Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, conveyed the president’s message in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.

Buhari joined family members, friends, political and business associates of the former lawmaker in celebrating the auspicious moment, heralded by many years of service to the nation and humanity.

The president congratulated Mohammed on his many achievements in business and politics, particularly his large heartedness in setting up the Ladon Alheri Foundation.

The foundation has funded projects in schools, borehole constructions in communities and sponsored eye surgeries for the underprivileged.

He also lauded the lawmaker’s advocacy for inclusive development, and willingness to serve in positions that bring him closer to the people to contribute in making their lives better.

Buhari prayed that the almighty God would grant Mohammed longer life, good health and more wisdom to serve the country.
